ALA: Building Relationships
The Association of Licensed Architects (ALA) offers members cutting edge professional development programs and tailored networking opportunities at an affordable cost.
ALA's Mission Statement: Building relationships with architects and communities through our networks and interests to inform, empower and elevate our profession and each other.
As a member of ALA, it's all about YOU! We provide the resources and connections you need to ignite your passion and build lasting, meaningul relationships.
ALA checks all of your professional boxes:
Membership Tailored to Your Specific Needs
ALA understands that there is not a one-size-fits-all solution to finding your professional partner. Whether you are a student looking for support and guidance while completing your studies, a new graduate taking the first step in their career, a professional seeking ???, or an allied professional working alongside architects, ALA has a member type geared toward your specific needs.
More than 20 Years as Your Professional Home
ALA has supported its members in practical ways for nearly two decades! The association was founded in 1999 by architects who previously served as Board Members of other architects’ associations. Shortly thereafter, the Illinois Society of Architects (ISA), the oldest independent state organization in the country, combined efforts with ALA, bringing respected expertise and historic significance to the Association.
Meet the ALA Team
ALA has a 17-member National Board of Directors, including directors appointed by the ALA chapters. Jeff Budgell, FALA, NCARB, LEED AP, is the current president of the Board. Learn more about the ALA team here.
