Webinar: Navigate Products and Materials Changes in LEED v4 and 4.1

LEED v4 introduced major changes to the ways products and materials contribute to a LEED project. This presentation will provide an overview of the changes from v2009 to v4 and v4.1 to the Materials and Resources Credit Category and the Low-Emitting Materials credit, why they’ve happened and provide some insight for selecting products on LEED projects.
Attendees will:
- Be able to discuss how product-related credits in LEED have changed from v2009 through v4.1
- Understand the goals behind the credit changes and how the USGBC and LEED are driving industry changes in the manufacturing sector
- Be able to discuss the pros and cons of upgrading specific credits to v4.1
- Be able to understand how to approach the new credits on LEED projects.

Amanda received her Master’s degree in Architecture from Kent State University and has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Her experience includes architectural design, consulting, training and development roles. As the Director of Sustainability, Amanda works directly with architects, engineers, and contractors to select the optimal materials and processes to ensure sustainability goals are met and exceeded. With a life-long interest in environmental issues, Amanda’s passion for sustainability is fueled by her mission to push the built environment to do better for both planet and human health. Amanda is currently active in the 2030 Cleveland District and U.S. Green Building Council (LEED Accredited Professional BD+C).
