Chapters

ALA is an international organization with its roots in the Midwest USA. Illinois was the first chapter and after a few years chapters began in Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri and Wisconsin. In 2015 and 2016 Indiana and Michigan chapters were formed. Chapters provide education programs, tours and networking for members at the local level. Each chapter is represented on the ALA National Board of Directors.

Path2Arch is a community serving students, new graduates and those working in the profession interested in obtaining a license. This group meets once a month live and online for the purpose of assisting those navigating AXP (Architecture Experience Program, formerly IDP) and ARE (Architecture Registration Exam). Assistance might include simple clarification of procedures or one-on-one group study session led by an ALA member and focusing on clarifying specific ARE content.

If you are interested in starting a chapter in your area please call ALA's Executive Director, Joanne Sullivan at 847-382-0630.
