About the Speaker: Emily, a University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture graduate, focuses on equity and community-based projects in education, arts, and social services. A founding member of AIA Chicago's LGBTQIA+ Alliance, she champions LGBTQIA+ architects and mentors underrepresented groups. As a Project Architect at Wheeler Kearns Architects since 2017, her notable projects include the Broadway Youth Center and Great Lakes Academy Expansion. Emily also leads Wheeler Kearns' mentoring programs. Her contributions earned her the 2024 AIA Chicago Dubin Family Young Architect Award.
