Emily leads CVG’s marketing program, with a joint focus on attracting new clients and managing the broader marketing team that serves CVG’s Investment Partners. She brings over 20 years of architectural marketing experience to CVG, with a focus on discovering a firm's authentic personality and using it to drive strategy. She served for over six years as Senior Associate and Director of Marketing and New Business Development at Union Studio Architecture & Community Design, and for nine years at Durkee, Brown, Viveiros & Werenfels Architects - both architectural firms in Providence, Rhode Island, that have experienced significant growth. She received an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design, and a BA from Colorado College. Emily is based in Detroit, Michigan.
Lucas Gray, Assoc. AIA
Senior Management Consultant/Business Development Manager, Charrette Venture Group
Trained in architecture, Lucas lived and worked around the world before starting a small architecture firm with two business partners in Portland, Oregon. After seven years running the firm, and four years working closely with CVG as an Investment Partner client, Lucas joined CVG to work with other firm owners and help them run more successful businesses. Lucas earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from McGill University and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. He also attended the 2008 Glenn Murcutt International Architecture Masters Class in Australia.
Lucas has long been active in the American Institute of Architects through serving on his local chapter board, on the National Associates Committee, and currently on the Small Project Design Knowledge Community leadership team. Lucas also served as an adjunct professor at Portland State University, teaching architectural drawing, and as a guest design critic at the University of Oregon.
Along with Lucas' architecture design work, he is an artist – including drawing, installations, and photography – and writes about the built environment through his newsletter, "A Better Built Environment." Lucas is based in Seattle, Washington.

Principal Architect Jeff Budgell has been licensed in the State of Illinois since 1990 and is an active member of several boards and organizations in architecture, environmental design, real estate and the Chicagoland business community. He is proficient as an architect, developer, construction administrator and real estate broker, and has created a business structure that allows him to maintain creative control throughout the construction process to deliver state-of-the-art buildings for his clients.
