2025 ALA Fall Conference: Masonry Madness
Join us for the 2025 ALA Fall Conference: Masonry Madness on November 6, 2025, at the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) Training Facility in Addison, IL. This half-day event, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, offers architects a dynamic blend of education, hands-on exploration, and networking. Earn 5 LU (4 HSW) credits while diving into the art and science of masonry design.

What to Expect
Classroom Presentation
Scott Conwell (International Masonry Institute) will kick things off with “Materiality of Masonry”—a look at how masonry choices impact design, performance, and constructability.
Workshop + Mockup Rotations
Get hands-on with full-scale masonry mockups, guided by:
- Scott Conwell (IMI)
- Jeff Diqui (IMI)
- Stan Kulaski (BAC District Council Training Center)
Special Session
Bob Kelly from WickRight will present on Masonry Ventilation—a practical, performance-focused topic that’s often overlooked.
Networking + Happy Hour
From 4:30 to 5:30, we’ll wrap up with drinks and heavy appetizers. It’s a great chance to connect with peers, share ideas, and talk shop.
