Association of Licensed Architects
This class provides an overview on the latest UL resources that are available to support architects with their responsibilities to ensure code compliance and the safety of the built environment. The program will cover UL standards and listing considerations for building and life safety technology products and systems; UL product investigation and factory surveillance of listed products; UL labeling requirements and field evaluation of non-labeled products; UL Architectural Services resource website; UL’s new free on-line search tool: Product iQ; UL Market Surveillance program and the UL Standards Technical Panel and consensus process.

Bruce Johnson -
Bruce is currently a Regulatory Services Regional Manager in UL’s Codes and Regulatory Services Department and is responsible for UL’s US regulatory operations. Prior to March 2019, he held the position of Senior Regulator Engineer, a position he held since joining UL in April 2015.
He serves on several ICC and NFPA model code development committees and is also an Adjunct College Instructor at SUNY Empire State College instructing in the areas of fire protection structures and systems, emergency management, administration and community risk reduction.
