This webinar is an overview of the significant changes from the 2015 to the 2018 IBC® in Chapters 1 through 12. We will identify changes in organization and code requirements, and discusses the applicability of these requirements to design and construction. The presentation is designed to assist those code users in identifying the specific code changes that have occurred and, more important, understanding the reason behind the change.

Kim's responsibilities with ICC include code development, conducting plan reviews, providing code interpretations, and instructing technical seminars. Before joining ICC, Kim worked as a structural engineer and architect. She is a licensed architect in Illinois and holds an Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner certification. Kim attended the University of Illinois and received a Master of Architecture degree with a structural engineering option.
