Showcase Your Talent - Give Your Projects the Professional Recognition They Deserve
The ALA Design Awards Program is our annual showcase of the power of design by our members. Winners are highlighted in the Winter issue of Licensed Architect magazine, press releases, and on social media.
The cost to participate is $150 for the first entry and $125 for each additional entry.
Eligibility
The ALA Design Awards is open to current 2025 Professional members including Senior and Emeritus members. Any ALA membership type can register, but the project submission must include an ALA Professional member name. Not a member? Submission Guidelines
Categories (Not used for judging)
Projects of all sizes and architectural elements are encouraged to enter.
You may re-submit previous projects that have not won an ALA award. Judging is overall, not by category.
Online Submission of Projects
Once again, ALA will be using Award Force, a secure, online registration and review software platform. All entries will be completed online. You will receive a set-up link and instructions by email on or before June 16th. If you are a new user of the Award Force platform, set up your account and password when ready to start your entry information. You may return to your submission/s once you register your account. Previous Award Force users already have an account and must use previous account login credentials.
The Design Awards Celebration will be held at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60603, Thursday, November 13, 2025. The awards will be published in the Winter Issue of Licensed Architect Magazine, displayed on alatoday.org, and in press and social media.
Deadlines for 2025:
Submissions Due: August 18, 2025 (No Exceptions or Extensions)
Judging Process: September 5, 2025
Awards Announcement: September 30, 2025
Celebration Event at University Club, Chicago, IL: November 13, 2025
