This one hour program reviews exterior envelope R-Value and Air Barrier requirements and masonry wall compliance options. Attendees will gain a brief understanding of exterior wall requirements of the 2015 IECC and learn what CI (continuous insulation) is plus which masonry wall systems offer CI.
We will compare the benefits and limitations of the new and old wall systems. After reviewing the benefits of traditional and innovative masonry wall systems, you will gain an understanding of design opportunities that are offered in terms of complying with the 2015 IECC.

Presenter: John McKevitt - Architectural Sales, Northfield, an Oldcastle Company
John has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing, specification, and sales of Masonry Products. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Brick Distributors, as well as Chairman of the Brick Industry Association (BIA) Education Committee. Areas of expertise include the development, adoption, and integration into projects of Innovative and Sustainable Building Materials, as well as the design and troubleshooting of various types of masonry wall and permeable pavement systems. John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees in Environmental Sciences and Urban Planning, and is both LEED GA, as well as CSI CDT.
