Haley Ward, Inc.

Jeri is a licensed architect, practicing in Maine and a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University School of Architecture 1980. She began with a large hospital design firm in Boston and returned to her home state, worked with several small Maine firms on school additions, libraries, municipal buildings, clinics, and single family homes before running her own business for 11 years.

She is now Senior Project Architect with Haley Ward, Inc., a large engineering firm. For over 20 years, she has been leading volunteer construction teams to the Dominican Republic to help build her designs for a school, church, and dormitory in a Haitian community and is planning a future clinic. Her approach to design is experiential, human centered with the goal of achieving “Fitness that is life enhancing” (Ian McHarg), embracing the occupants. She also likes to express structure and show how things stand up.
