Matt Brown joined the APA – The Engineered Wood Association in July of 2014. His career in the construction industry began in 2004 when he worked as the Design and Quality Manager for Accent Homes a production builder in N. Indiana.

In 2009, Matt moved into the energy rating industry working as Director of Research and Development for Energy Diagnostics, a rating firm in N. Indiana.  Here he became more involved with code development at the national level. 

In his present position with the APA, Matt works to build relationships with Builders, Suppliers, Code Officials, Engineers and Architects to be a resource for Engineered Wood Products (EWP). He offers education, consulting and product assistance as needs arise. He has a deep understanding of the true energy efficiency of Engineered Wood Products and brings knowledge on how Engineered Wood Products can effectively compete in today's advanced Energy Codes.
