Principal/Owner
SDG Architecture LLC
Scott is a licensed architect who practices primarily in Arizona. He graduated from Judson University with a Bachelor in Music Performance in 1996, and a Master in Architecture in 2003. His early career includes working at Burnidge Cassell Associates (now Dewberry) and Jaeger Nickola Associates (now JKNA), where he experienced projects in higher education, primary education and churches throughout the Midwest.
After moving to Tucson, Arizona, he worked with local firms until he founded SDG Architecture LLC in 2006. His practice has increased in both staff and project complexity through the years, and specializing in religious, healthcare, education and residential projects. Repeat clients include the University of Arizona, Tucson Medical Center, Desert Christian Schools, Tucson International Airport, Christ Community Church, and Benson Hospital. Utilization of "desert design" typifies each project: passive systems, active systems, water conservation, native vegetation, and local vernacular. Many projects have been featured in design magazines and websites.
Scott has been involved with many organizations, including Judson University as chair of the Architecture Advisory Council, University of Arizona College of Architecture as adjunct lecturer, presenter at conferences with the Association of Christian Schools International, past member of the Civano Neighborhood Association, and more. He continues to perform musically with local groups in Tucson.
