Toju is passionate about the efficient and sustainable use of resources in the built environment. As a project manager, he supports renewable energy development at Pepper Energy. Since joining Pepper in 2017, Toju has contributed to multiple projects across various market sectors, including K-12 schools, data centers, commercial office buildings, and healthcare facilities.

Before joining Pepper's High Performance team, Toju began his career in commercial real estate data analytics. At Pepper Construction, his responsibilities range from green building certification support and site inspections to identifying energy conservation measures and performing solar evaluations.

Toju is a LEED AP BD+C, O+M, a Green Advantage certified practitioner, a certified passive house consultant (CPHC) and a Level 1 Thermographer. He is also active in the Illinois Green Alliance and a member of the ASHRAE Illinois chapter. Toju earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering with a Certificate in Global and Ecological Health Engineering from Northwestern University.
