Yoko is a licensed architect with over 25 years of in-depth experience in the design, management, production, and contract administration of projects small to large in the commercial, healthcare, institutional, and residential market sectors. She has worked with both private and public clients, including local County governments, on a variety of project types encompassing base building construction, build-to-suits, renovations, tenant interiors and programming.
Yoko has focused her career on developing design solutions of highest quality that are responsive to the client’s needs, budget-conscious, and stand the test of time. She has a passion for programmatically complex projects and leading collaborative teams of various disciplines through the design, production, and construction coordination process. Her experience in effective management of large interdisciplinary consulting teams, her technical knowledge of building systems and documentation, combined with her sensitivity for design and passion for excellence, have gained her the respect of many of her peers and clients.
She was previously a Principal at Noritake Associates, where she was a key member of the leadership team from design through construction on notable, award-winning projects, including the newly completed Merrifield Center for Fairfax County and the HITT Corporate headquarters.
Yoko launched her architectural practice ROKK Architecture, PLLC in 2015, and has been serving small business clients, corporate tenants, property managers, construction managers, developers and building owners providing tenant and landlord services in the Virgina, DC, and Maryland area.
